The Making Of Resort 26 Impression

When it comes to crafting a runway showcase, the difference is in the details. Here, the Aje Report takes an exclusive trip inside the Sydney atelier for a close-up look at the Resort 26 Impression runway collection.

Movement emerges as a key feature for Resort 26, with diaphanous layers of organically shaped tiers and silhouettes that spread into negative space, lending an animated quality to each piece.

Playing into the tapestry of Aje design codes, co-founders Edwina Forest and Adrian Noris met this lightness with a grounding edge, manifesting in raw accents and masculine, oversized frames.

A liberating contrast, a symbol of modernity, this harmony encapsulates the season’s translation of dualities found in nature. Fleeting, organic contradictions, captured and recreated into wearable works of art.

This season, designers brought the Impressionist painters into the world of Aje, with the collection featuring cascades of volume, painterly watercolour print with clear, shimmering sequins and softly stacked textures. A choreographed dance of the elements, the power of nature and artistry come together for a light and ethereal collection composed of silks, leather, ruffles and lace.

Drapery, florals, embroidery, and embellishment came to life in the atelier, meticulously hand-crafted by our team of artists and designers. The watercolour cascades emerging across the body, punctuated with gleaming hardware and molten adornments, beadwork and suede.

A wonder of creation, with outstanding techniques that evolve classical house details and update them for the modern woman.
