To round out 2021, Aje celebrated in keeping with the ‘Scent of Summer’ collection, evoking a festive sense of joy and gratitude.

As per tradition, Aje Co-Founders Adrian and Edwina waited until the day of the soirée to unveil the location, transporting guests from Aje HQ to lunch at Bert's Bar and Brasserie, overlooking the water at Newport.

An exquisite tablescape featured florals from friends of the brand Grandiflora, vases by Dinosaur Designs, sculptural Tony Assness candles, custom Aje printed napkins and bon bons alongside hand-drawn illustrations from the Resort 22 collection.

A time of sensory delectation, the curated menu offered oysters on arrival served with chardonnay mignonette and lemon, hand-picked mud crab, tagliolini with lobster and semolina pasta with lemon and pangrattato.

As designed by Aje Co-Founders, the cocktail and wine list included bespoke drinks such as the ‘Daisy’ Lychee cocktail, ‘Coastal Mule’ with Australian Eau de vie and the ‘Bee’s Knees’ featuring locally sourced honey and kaffir lime leaf.

The Aje family wore looks inspired by summertime bliss from the latest Resort 22 collection, including season favourite Pelicano, Oasis Olive Leaf and Dassia prints and extravagant silhouettes such as the Vanades Cut Out Ring Midi Dress, Jacinto Pleated Mini Dress, Cantina Mini Bow Back Dress and Caliente Tiered Cut Out Dress.

The celebratory tone was set by longtime collaborator DJ Niki De Saint with an uplifting set designed to keep people dancing until sunset. A fitting celebration of the year that was, and all that is to come in 2022.
